Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Recently saw them in Toronto and Buffalo. Both shows were excellent. And they love the smoke machine.

Red, Details! About both bands please.

When BRMC played on this tour vocals were split but hard to hear the difference. There was one extra player for some songs, but for the most part it was amazing how full and lush the sound was. Especially when young bands like The Raveonettes, Shiny Toy Guns and Kill Hannah are all using backing tracks (upto 70% of the music is canned) these days.

Agreed.

You know a lot of critics have used that as a way to write them off. I think they took the JAMC and took it a step in another direction the JAMC did not go.

Here they are after the Buffalo show behind the Tralf. Give the one goof yapping a second to shut up.

oops.....i forgot to give details about spiritualized! what else can you say about them except for AMAZING!!! their light show is awesome! i never go to the front, always try to get the front of the balcony coz you gotta experience the whole scene. they're just really incredible live. i saw them in Philly once at the Trocadero and they were so loud that tiny little plaster bits were falling off the ceiling!!! (seriously!) i can't wait to see them in December!! (i realize it will be acoustic, but i bet it's gonna be so awesome!!)

I met up with Staci and saw them in Asheville, NC, about two weeks ago!! Nothing like having a Guitar God stand right in front of you playing his heart out!!

Ooh, wow! :D :D Thanks so much for sharing those!

They are formidable, lovely guys with really strong principles/ethics, which is very rare in this day and age.
Nothing ever seems too much trouble for them when they get swamped with fans before or after shows.

They really work their butts off. They've done at least 133 shows this year (excluding private post-gig shows on pavements and in parking lots, of course!) and have another 38 left to do before the year is out. Including NYE in Australia!
That's over 170 gigs in 2007....... practically every other night for an entire year.

I've seen them 11 times so far this year... with another 6 or 7 to go. (Am already exhausted!) - and they are back here for two more mini-tours before the year-end.

They even give their guitars away to their adoring fans and happily pose in Trafalgar Square at 1 in the morning LOL

I can quite happily see them every night of the week when they are on tour here - and know at least one person on this forum who does the same in the US of A!
And tomorrow night they are supporting JAMC in LA .... :(
