Stone Roses

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I LOVE the Stone Roses - well their recordings. They are such slackers I don't hold much hope they will be able to play their songs.

Like I said, with these stars' finances going down the tubes expect to see A LOT of these reunions and special plyings of old albums.

I don't even have to check the link and I know they will be playing their classic first album in its entirety with an orchestra.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Saw Ian Browne at Versus Cancer in Manchester a couple of years ago and it was like a train wreck. He's like someone's younger brother, pissed for the first time getting up to sing at a wedding.

I know. That is the truly scary part. They played in Japan (I used to live there) after Reni had quit and it was awful.

Brown can write hooky songs and the studio can make him sound ok.

Didn't the judge during the Roses vs. Silvertone case say the band members were some of the stupidest people he had ever come across in his entire career? And John Leckie walked out of the recording sessions for Second Coming.

The group wanted to leave the label but Silvertone took out a court injunction against the group, preventing them from releasing any new material. For the next two years, the band fought Silvertone Records while they allegedly prepared the follow-up to their debut album. However, the Stone Roses did next to nothing as the court case rolled on. In the meantime, several major record labels began negotiating with the band in secret. In March of 1991, the lawsuit went to court. Two months later, the Stone Roses won their case against Silvertone and signed a multi-million deal with Geffen Records.

For the next three years, the Stone Roses worked sporadically on their second album, leaving behind scores of uncompleted tapes. During these years, the group kept a low-profile in the press but that wasn't to preserve the mystique -- they simply weren't doing much of anything besides watching football.

I love The Stone Roses but I never knew they were related to the Bunnymen.

Oops, I was thinking Leckie produced a Bunnymen album. And that was what you were referring to.
