Don't You Forget About Jim and Charlie

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Don't You Forget About Jim and Charlie

Forget their cack handed attempts to "do a U2" and fill stadiums...this is the real Simple Minds. Sleek euro elegance welded to a killer beat. Priceless.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

You're not wrong mate...

They were fantastic live around that time as this, rather excellent, footage shows...

In Trance as Mission-what a song.Forbes' bass playing was amazing.I prefer Sparkle to NGD by the way but Sons and Fascination/Sister Feeling Call is their real peak stuff.

You know that album is nearly 30 years old?
And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

Up until Sparkle in the Rain Simple Minds were a great band...... I can't decide if I prefer Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call or New Gold Dream better.. Both great albums.......

Ah the american ..

This is a great song to do a cover of ..the bass is demon and the lyrics are weird as fuck

Here comes the shake
The speed-decade wake
I see you wake
Shake
Fit on those overalls
What do you know about this world anyway
I see a man
With an airfield plan
I caught a boy fall out of the sky
What do you know about this world anyway

Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Amer-American
In collective fame
Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Amer-American
Nassau club day
Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Amer-American
Across a curved earth
In collective fame
Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Amer-American
The eventful work-outs
Nassau club days
Here comes the flag
I'm walking in the black

Every time you tough this place
It feels like sin
Every time the handshake starts
The face draws thin
What do you know about this world anyway
Here comes the son
The american son
In here the son shines so bright
Eyes blind
What do you know about this world anyway

Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Ameri-Amer-American
The eventful workouts
Nassau club days
Here comes the flag
Hand-shake
This world.....

The last six lines were co-written by Tony McWojo

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
