Don't You Forget About Jim and Charlie

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Bought Early Gold. Love it.

Jim looks like Nik Fiend from Alien Sex Fiend.

Has anyone heard the new album Graffiti Soul? Most of the reviews I've seen seem to say it's their best since New Gold Dream.
And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

Completely agree, tho' I'd always go for Empires & Dance. Wrote something about this 5 years ago in fact...

I think the Minds/Bunnymen parallel is a very perceptive one at present

I've been playing Graffiti Soul in the car a lot recently, it's pretty good and compared to what I've heard of The Fountain it's genius.

Yeah I can't believe that at fifty years old he really should sound like he did when he was twenty five. I think a bunch of you guys should find a new band to follow so you don't have to keep trying to act like twenty five or thirty years haven't passed.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

‘A nuclear reactor of music’: the story of Simple Minds’ classic album Empires and Dance

Alan McGee once said "I preferred Simple Minds when they thought they were German."

I think I agree with Alan on that. Yes I read that. Nice one. Also, good call on resurrecting a classic thread, wojo, scouser, Dr wossname. Brings it all back. And was the fountain really that long ago. Crikey.
