The Obligatory Depeche Mode thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Just to show I'm not biased you can have this one on me:

as an aside, I know advertising is their income but the nme website must be the worst in the whole world

an here I am again, though more Dave doing vocals with someone else, so quite conroversial in some ways. ANyways, here's the NME article

https://www.nme.com/news/music/depeche- ... kSb6yvoL7Q

Says his first impression was it sounded a bit bunnymenish - and I can see where he gets that from, kind of. Mark Lanegan involved too, and lots of other well known dudes on the album.

Here's the youtube

NME always highlights Nick's deep and meaningful letters, but this one's quite good.

This forum's not what it used to be, nobody's bothering to point out I've been happily posting in the wrong thread. It gets worse, I couldn't think of the name of broccoli the other day, kept saying to the lady, you know that stuff, what's it called, looks like a tree - cauliflower - no but like that but more green, begins with a C. Anyways.

It's the thought that counts!! I took the drastic step of letting my antivirus thingy remember all my passwords, with the result I haven't a clue any more.

It says much about me, not really being into the mode (apart from that one about master and servant game) , that I kind of mocked the idea that someone would spend time on something like this, then read it from end to end.
