The Obligatory Depeche Mode thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Tomorrow!!! So looking forward to it. I'm not crazy about Delta Machine, though.

The gig on Monday was brilliant!
Although I enjoyed what I saw of the SOTU tour, this was better.
Dave was in rare form - loads wiggles. The crowd adored him, he worked it, they adored him more, and on it went. The energy was amazing.
I have to admit that I'm not a fan of Martin Gore's singing, so there was a bit too much of that for me and Soothe my Soul and Heaven were the only songs from Delta Machine that carried live.
All in all a fantastic performance for nearly two and a half hours.
Great night!

Third rate, no such thing.

The concert was absolutely brilliant. Somewhat over two hours that went by soo fast. Everybody was standing beside their seat just dancing away. Personal Jesus was stellar with a slow intro that took up in speed.

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Is that an actual Mercedes that Mr Wilder actually owned or just a car that he once had a lift in or was maybe a taxi that took him to a gig once?

:laughing-smiley: :laughing-smiley:

Ha, you can't beat laughing at your own jokes.

Going to watch these in Manchester on Friday as a treat for Mrs 5times, who thinks they're great. Apart from getting my mate to tape 'speak and spell' for me in 1981 (ouch...), I've never really paid them much attention. I get the impression that they are a lot more popular abroad than they are here, although this thread does have 92 pages...

At least half of that is Black Francis havering about other things to bump the total posts up.

Now I have a vision of Black Francis bumping his post up which I can not erase.
