British Sea Power

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

British Sea Power

They're seemingly on fire at the moment (in a metaphorical sense thankfully)
New songs (all the ones I've heard sounding like the best stuff they've ever released) Fab gigs (playing the Mersey ferry and canteens..)

I do love them. I don't think they're that Bunnymenesque (a lot of people do) but they've certainly inherited via some musical/artistic gnomic portal a share of that Bunny weirdness/distance from their contemporaraies.

Any of you American cousins on here see them recently? They played NY/Boston etc. You Yanks get first go at a new EP Krankenhaus? & LP, Do You LIke Rock Music?... which I believe is marvellous.

The new EP is fantastic. Can't wait for their new album, about which I've heard some very good things.

They were playing a secret gig at a pub down in SE1 (not too far from me) the other night, but I already had something else planned. Shame!!!

Gotta love 'em!

Tell you what, Ive just got my review copy of the LP and I can say without fear of any form of contradiction, its a classic. A stone classic. It's fucking immense, (tho'I still think they can go one better). I'm frothing at the mouth.

Put it this way, the new single is one of the weaklest moments[/o]
