The Obligatory Contented of Hove Thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

from the nme website:

Nick Cave has offered a public apology to Kylie Minogue and Avril Lavigne for featuring them in his latest book, 'The Death Of Bunny Munro'.

In the Bad Seeds frontman's novel the lead character, Bunny Munro, is obsessed with the two singers. Cave, who has collaborated with Minogue, told BBC 6music that he hoped at least she would not take offence.

"I would like to publicly apologise to both of them, especially Avril Lavigne," he said. "Because the writing about her is darker and more invasive I guess.

"I know Kylie and at least, I hope, she will take it in the spirit it was written. At the time that the book was set, which was about eight years ago, or seven years ago, Kylie Minogue and her hot pants were all the tabloids wrote about in this country."

Last night's book promo evening in Hamburg was excellent!
Nick was extremely congenial and funny. The-set list was well chosen and getting to hear Blixa duet on The Weeping Song was a highlight. Blixa didn't appear to have read the book, or indeed the chapter he was reading aloud, before.
No more details as I don't want to spoil it for those yet to see it.

Thanks! Hope Nick brings Blixa to Paris so I can hear the Weeping Song duet.

bodiless "Weeping Song" - Duet, sorry, but it was filmed by my maltreated knees on which I 'd been praying too long for that moment... just wanna relive that moment, that's why I don't care if their bodies are out of camera's view but for the finally embracement I hold my cam steady

 Think I heard myself at the start of that.

The top of Nick's head looked good.

Isn't Blixa quite the portly one?

jacksie .
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
