Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

pretty sad when time and gravity have taken their toll and the rack winds up touching the pussy.

They get to that age when anything touching it is something of a treat.

Apologies for returning to the title of this thread, but I'm just listening to the album and it's a cracker.

Is a 'stonker' like a 'boner'? If so then a 'cracker' is not.

I can't believe there's even a track called "Beatles and Stones". Gallagher your'e not Lennon. Beady Eye just sound like Oasis. Great if you like Oasis; if not... go and listen to The Beatles or Lennon for the real bona fide thing.

I get the two confused. Noel sings Don't Look Back, right?
Why doesn't he start a band? The songs he sang on were the better of the bunch and his voice is good.

That reminds me with all this 60s-type music nostalgia. I heard on the wireless the other day that the Monkees are reforming and touring again... great times for knocking out a few retro t-shirts and 60s crap to flog to my victims, erm I mean my cherished customers.

They did that in the late 80s. I mean - forty years after? Weren't they close to 30 when they made that show?

Clearly. I thought one was already dead. The monkey that wore that bobble hat all the time. Like a 1960s The Edge, but with hair underneath. Michael Nesmith. But he is still alive and won't play with the rest of the "band", as is the one that looked like Shaggy out of Scooby Doo. Michael Nesmith reminds me of Kelley Stoltz for some reason... so if Kelley isn't doing anything this summer and he wants to support a couple of old timers again...

I hate to correct you, but from what I remember of various zoo visits over the years, monkees (sic) rarely have 'hair underneath'. They are almost invariably bald, not to mention red-raw in the 'underneath' area though I have no doubt that much of this condition is self-inflicted due to their insatiable need to scratch. I mean, I'm no David Attenborough, but I think it's a point worth making.
