Properly into ...

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

how so? ... depressed? stuck in the past? bored with a lot of the current stuff?

mebbe so, mebbe not. just the mood I was in, I guess. I spent the weekend working on a flowery quilt. And yes, Joy Division and artistic endeavors may seem an odd combination, but I felt like a little JD and Warsaw. Somber times at work -- they're getting ready to lay off 150 people in my newsroom, and nobody knows who's on the list.

As to the Bunny boys, you can never go wrong with the first two albums

Just teasing.

Good luck at work! Just tell them youre the best and in the end they believe you. That's one big newsroom!

Interpol my JD. They never did it for me.

They're a little too young for me. I can't think if there's anyone THAT young that I listen to now

What about the Animals when it comes to classy groups? I don't know if someone made this up but we have a burger chain here, In-N-Out, and someone told me that there's a certain "secret" burger that you can order that's NOT on the menu called "the animal" because it's how Eric Burdon would ask for his to be prepared when he was visiting Cal.

I knew about In-N-Out's secret menu, but I didn't know the reason behind The Animal. Fascinating, if true. Do you have any Sonic's near you Jane? I enjoy eating there when I visit my friend who lives in Arizona. I wish they (In-N-Out and Sonic) would consider some east coast locations, preferably near me. But a drive-through might be tricky during the winter months.

So that's where the Animal came from. Interesting.

Sadly, very few Sonics in SoCal. There's allegedly one in Anaheim somewhere, but I don't know of any others. I wish they'd colonize Southern California. You just can't go wrong with a Cherry Limeade and tater tots

FHG -- there aren't drive-throughs in your neck of the woods?

Thanks. Maybe that'll save me  Newsroom huge -- 870 or something like that. So 1 in 6 chance of losing job.

Never into Interpol, but JD, yes! Oddly enough, tho, not New Order all that much. That said, I did enjoy the New Order videos I found on youtube Friday of them doing a Joy Division set for John Peel Day. Even dipped back into their Warsaw youth for one song

Gang of Four coming to L.A. in a couple of weeks, along with Jesus and Mary Chain -- and a host of newer bands -- for the Download Festival.

I don't think there's any Sonic's close by. You guys have "murderburgers" (White Castle) on the east coast! I think you mentioned you were from there? Whenever I'm homesick I have to buy the frozen ones at the grocery store :frown:

I don't know, Zabird if the Eric Burdon thing is true.

Sorry, Tony. You mentioned animals and groups with classy names and I went off topic

There are no White Castles in New England at all. I just looked at their website to verify. I can't think of any drive-throughs in this region either. We used to have drive-ins, but there are only a few left. But we still have lots of covered bridges.

I just looked them up -- 5 locations in (Eastern) Pennsylvania, 3 in Delaware, 1 in New Jersey and 1 in Virginia. Wow. Thanks Red for the tip!

There's a chain called Krystal which seems identical to Sonic.
