It was a great night. No diva strops! I was looking forward to the first set the most, and they delivered. Sounds like the setlist was pretty much the same as you and bunnygod described. There were a few cameras on stage and in the aisles, haven't heard where the footage will turn up. The Yeats set was a bit unusual, but still entertaining in its way. The presentation was a bit theatrical. I can see how that would've irked some, but I didn't mind it. We had great seats near the stage, and both the view and the sound quality were great. There were two encores, with the same 4 songs as bunnygod got, Don't Bang the Drum, Whole of the Moon, A Man is in Love and a stomping Fishermans blues to close.
Mike Scott was in great voice as you both mentioned, and seemed happy to be in Glasgow, with a few friendly comments to the crowd.
Apart from a 20 min interval between the old favourites and Mr. Yeats they were on stage from 8.05 till about 10.40, and the performance was impeccable throughout. So can't really complain and well worth hanging on through the Yeats set to get to the encores.
There's times when I've been deeply indifferent
