The Obligatory Contented of Hove Thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

What, wait...Ke$ha?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Makes you wonder how many other things you never heard of are 'over'.

Yay! A new BRMC album next year followed by a Bad Seeds album - can't get better than that!

Grinderman may be calling it quits for the next ten years or so, but before they head off to record a new Bad Seeds record Pitchfork reports that Saint Nick and co will release a new remix album on March 12th.

The release, titled Grinderman 2 RMX, includes covers and mixes off their second album Grinderman 2 which was described by its FL reviewer as “Deeper, darker, funnier and more disturbing than it’s predecessor.”

Ensuring it remains both deep and dark in remix mode is Josh Homme who tackles Mickey Bloody Mouse, Matt Berninger who contributes to Evil and even Grindeman themselves with a demo version of the same song.
Listen to Nick Zinner’s remix of Bellringer Blues:
Grinderman 2 RMX tracklisting:

1 Grinderman / Fripp – Super Heathen Child
2 A Place to Bury Strangers – Worm Tamer
3 Nick Zinner – Bellringer Blues
4 UNKLE – Hyper Worm Tamer
5 Joshua Homme – Mickey Bloody Mouse
6 Cat’s Eyes with Luke Tristram – When My Baby Comes
7 Barry Adamson – Palaces of Montezuma
8 Silver Alert – Evil [ft. Matt Berninger]
9 SixToes – When My Baby Comes
10 Andy Weatherall – Heathen Child
11 Factory Floor – Evil
12 Grinderman – First Evil
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.

Nick Cave, who wrote the script to Lawless, explains how the film brings the violence and lyricism of the book on which it was based to the screen and merges the genres of the urban gangster and rural western
