The Obligatory Contented of Hove Thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Warren Ellis looks like he should be painting icons on Mount Athos.

Nick's suit is badass.

The latest Uncut has a big Nick Cave spread - his 30 greatest songs. Looks like he's chosen them, with comments from muso type celebs, present and former members of the bad seeds/birthday party. two points for guessing numero uno song?. Only had time to flick through before some miserable old get said the immortal words, "its not an effing library you know". Theres also a big article on grinderman.

Also noted - and I'd seen this somewhere else but cant remember - that Dave (the name's david actually) gilmour had performed some songs with roger waters at a gig local to me. At first I thought, how did I miss that, what with my ear to the ground and all that, but then realised that 'kidlington hall' is not the village hall in kidlington, fnar, but the stately pile up the road and was one of those charity bash's that you only get to go to if youre really rich. Anyway some bloke put up a load of cash for the pair to perform - though not without the usual shenanigans between the two, though apparently theres a distinctive anount of lurve i the air, relatively speaking. ANyway - what has this got to do with this thread? Apparently Cave was part of the all star band. what was it dylan sang, money doesn't talk it swears. still, its all fo the little kiddies.
