Ian McNabb

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Saw him on Friday doing an acoustic set.

Setting was a church which I'm sure helped acoustics but gotta say his voice was excellent. Although I liked a lot of Icicle Works his solo stuff to my ears can be a bit hit or miss but I will have to revisit now. Some notes sent shivers whilst other times he sounded like a crooner. He played a great range of stuff with some witty interludes - one of the best being when saying not all his lyrics being profound and McCulloch taunting him saying "What's a hollow horse? and him replying " do you still kiss tortoise shells"

Great night and he seems a top fella too.

I don't think Mac's kissed any tortoise shells for about 30 years.
