doing the album thing -- Massive Attack

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Ive read the interview with frazer, linked at the bottom of that article, before. Worth a look for anyone with a cocteaus record in their collection. Mrs FC hates them, but i think she's wrong. Plus theres a bunnymen connection there.

And this
and Scritti Politti's Green Gartside said the vocally gymnastic Fraser was his third favourite melodicist of all time (behind Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson).

Third eh?

I prefer when Liz Fraser sings in English with other people.

Has any band ever had a better first three-album run than Blue Lines - Protection - Mezzanine?

Hmm. Crocodiles-Heaven Up Here-Porcupine? Wonder what Joy Division's third album would have been like it had Ian Curtis not topped himself.

Saw that and thought, hmmm, maybes and then I read this at the Arena site:

The show will re-imagine Mezzanine twenty one years on from its release

and thought, uh-oh. Also going to be a 'one off'

Love that first mortal coil album. Couldn't play it around a previous Mrs FC because of the line 'your mother's dead your mother's dead......', because, well, you know, and she'd get upset. Women eh?

I liked all three of the albums. Kim Deal singing on "You and Your Sister" on Blood. Didn't know that "Come Here My Love" was a Van Morrison song.

How many Mrs FCs/lineups have there been? (Nosey.)

Same with another day / roy harper.

As to lineups - its a bit like the bunnymen - a small number of official ones and not all of those recognised or approved of by former members (members, lol) or the general public. Plus there's the solo years and the odd collaboration of course. There was even a very short lived reformation of a classic lineup and it was great for a short while - a few greatest hits gigs, and the occasional reimagined B-side, but you know, didn't sit right futurewise. And I know it sounds a cliche but the current one is by far the best (not that I rank them).

So the previous Mrs. F.C., the other previous Mrs F. C. etc ... isn't quite as many as Milton's grandfathers?

There's times when I've been deeply indifferent
