Saw Danzig this weekend at the Fox theater in Pomona and it was a great fuckin show. His vocals were strong and being 57 hasn't slowed him down a bit. Devil horns everywhere and I've never been compelled to sing through an entire show. He was in a great mood and after the second song announced they were only going to play the old shit. There's maybe two more songs I would have added but it was damn near a dream set list. Then Doyle came on for a twenty minute Misfits set and it was incredible. It's easy to forget Danzig has been writing classic songs since the late 70's but Saturday night reminded me why I got a couple of Danzig tattoos when I was younger.
My favorite part of the night is when he played "Blood and Tears" which hasn't been heard live in over 20 years.
Great night and as I type this at work I'm wearing my new Danzig shirt and all black just like in high school!
