I got a hold of the album and it is quite the departure from anything Frank Black has done previously. Apparently his wife is a fan of 80's synth pop (while FB never was) and I find it amazing that FB has managed to produce an album steeped in new wave sounds but remain completely authentic sounding. There's still some bits of classic FB yelling and guitars haven't been banished but their are some definite guilty pleasures like "Long Song". There is something for everybody on the album. The only weakness would be his wife's vocals. You can hear she has a nice voice but she just needs more training so it doesn't come off as "Frank honey, I wanna be a rock star too!" But it is rock and roll and I like mine kinda messy.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
