Bernard Sumners new band

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

just not got it yet

think i'll leave it to the expert

though funnily enugh mojo also gave this album 2 stars and the review was entirely about the issue to which you allude with passing mention of the music. Hooky's in town next week signing his book. dunno if i can be bothered queuing up though. hmm.

Sadly true. I had high hopes for this, too.

i've been listening to it quite a bit in the car the last few days and its a bit of a grower. very similar to the last two NO albums, though on a couple of songs the other bloke (some other bloke) sings and it seems to lose all the connotations of being a NO spin off project. LArgely non-challenging I'd say, but not unpleasant. wortha punt. Not sure Stephen Mossis has contributed to the writing so you could probably leave him out of the equation too.

Playing acoustic versions of "Sink or Swim" and "Bizarre Love Triangle" for Libération newspaper
