early 70's English Prog rock

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

It hurts alot more with a beagle.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

now yer talkin!

I really dig PTree! Saw them live this past year. Steve Wilson is fantastic as well as his bandmates!

They do have a prog rock feel, but the music is new and fresh. The lyrics are really something to check out. Wilson can be a very dark with his lyrics but there is also a very romantic side to him as well. Highly recommend this band!

Scouser, don't know if this link works, but I did get some good shots of the band on Fear of a Blank Planet tour that came around here (much to my surprise).

A whole night devoted to UK prog rock!

I watched Prog Rock Britania last night on iplayer, it just reinforced my opinion that 99% of prog was completely unlistenable bollocks!

Does anyone consider Muse prog rock? If not, is it because it is listenable?

Alterna prog-rock lite. But I like it.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
