My Bloody Valentine Live Shows

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Not the best recording but it sounds like a good live version

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

einstein was just lucky. if he hadn't have discovered the Beatles nobody would have ever heard of him.

Is Loveless even that good? I prefer Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

It will be a cold day in Hell when I worry what JT thinks.

I think Loveless is OK, but its not the classic people claim. In fact I prefer Isnt Anything. However I prefer Psychcandy to both for sheer manic pop thrill. The Reid Brothers live the dream.

With the exception Stoned & Dethroned, there isn't a JAMC release I don't like.
Their voices are magic.

I constantly worry about what Jack thinks and I'm a better person for it.

Jack, what should I think about the Doors? I hate them if you do.

I prefer the one where Ted goes to visit the dancing priest:

And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

Are they genius......no.Having seen Bilinda play a two,oh yes count them,a two string guitar at Spinal Tap volumes whilst Kevvy baby warbled in 87 or 88 at Burberries in Birmingham I had them down as being awful.(This was supporting The Brilliant Corners-a twee jangly band with a ditty about Brian Rix.Weird night)Then they released Isnt Anything and my mate played the cassette in my old car's shitty stereo 'Mark.....I think your tape is playing backwards or being eaten'.Nope-that was the album. Then Loveless came out which is great so I made my one and only MBV purchase and saw them storm the NEC.Great band?Probably towards the end yes.Genius?No.Mary Chain had the run on them from Upside Down. Both influential but I'll take the Reid Brothers pop sensibilities anyday.
I think MBV are one of those bands that are very influential but very few people can listen to a whole album of in one go.(TRy 13th Floor Elevators albums!).I honestly prefer the bands influenced by them-Slowdive,Ride etc.. to the real ear bleeding deal.

You bet your ass Slowdive and Ride. Souvlaki is one of my top 10 albums of all time and Mojave 3 is stellar. Neal Halstead is an unappreciated genius. Plus Rachel Goswell is pretty hot.

Ay ay ay ay ay Moosey Ay ay ay ay ay Moosey - were Modern Romance part of the Shoegazing movement?
