VT Paypal: To what (or whom) are we donating?

Postby Malbert » Fri Dec 30, 2011 2:13 pm

I see the familiar PayPal logo everyday when I log into the VT forum and wonder who or what is the recipient of a donation? For Prof. Brian and his countless hrs. running the VT website? Will Mac pirate all the cash to fund his solo album? Are we helping Black Francis get to his alien themed brothel?

If I'm not mistaken, it goes to Mr. Brian (possibly to fund his visits to BF's alien-themed brothel)

Though rumor has it Ivan has made several attempts to hack the account. These rumors were stated by two guys with the first initials P.

The money goes straight to Mr. Brian. I know this from personal experience. ALL YOU REGULAR VT'ERS SHOULD TOO. AHEM.

This place is fast turning into a forum for charity cases. Go on, give them your monies for poor old Mac for his "new" musical tunes. Go on, give us your monies for poor old Mr Brian so he can make sure the girls kept chained in BF's basement are fed and watered. There's no charity single either. You have to have a charity single.

It puts the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again.

In this particular case, wouldn't the relevant conjunction be "and" without the "else"?

The only thing I got wrong about that quote was "puts" instead of "rubs"

I pay for the domain name renewal and the web hosting so anytime you donate anything via Paypal it offsets that cost for me.

When you click through the links on the discography pages to Amazon or Amazon UK, I get a kickback via my Amazon Associates account. You don't even have to buy what you clicked on, as long as you arrive at Amazon via a link on those pages I get some kind of reward. It's not much but any little bit helps.

So we're helping to keep you "master of your (name) domain"? Is that what you're saying?

withahip abhors the implicit.
