VT chat?

Postby JackT » Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:43 am

Hey Mr. Brian, is there a way to add a chat feature to VT?

Have those numbers on my desk ASAP.

Yay! Great idea. Accelerate the verbal trots. We could call it Fastcrap with little whizzy lines at the sides that intimate speed.

I thought about that at one time but with IM and Facebook and all of that I decided not to pursue adding chat.

As I recall several attempts were made to do chat on the BOF going back to the Frank Coleman and Ivan days and it just never panned out or lasted very long. I have not checked with my host in a while but I think the overhead on the server is kind of high too and those chat rooms seem to attract all sorts of ne'er-do-wells and trolls. Then we have the time zone issues. No thanks.

As well as some of you guys have "funny" accents,
and sometimes there's only one person on-and I can talk to myself at anytime
And by the way what time is it there now?
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.

Sounds like someone's not getting invited to my super awesome chat room.

2 demerits for non-sequiter LOLcatz usage.

Can you blame me for misspelling?

This whole, "I'm not going to set up a chat room" thing has set my head spinning and, quite frankly, plunged me into a minor emotional crisis.

Nice going, Mr. Selfish.
