Do you feel positive or negative as a fan?

Do you think it's unprofessional & immature to "follow" bands/celebrities around whom you enjoy?

Here's a quote from a friend on another forum, do you think it's a good thought about us fans here or do you think otherwise:

"How exciting it is when you find someone/something that speaks to you in a way that makes you a happier person - a better person - for caring about that celebrity/band/whatever. It is like a revelation to think, here is someone who knows how I think/feel, without ever seeing me! Here is someone/something I can relate to. And then, to find others who have had the same experience! That is icing on the cake! The fact that someone "gets" you, your character, your values. That is not a thing to toss aside lightly. To laugh, to enjoy, to be emotionally affected, and then to share the feeling - That is what makes me a fan, and I wouldn't change a minute of it. "---Mr.X

Have you ever thought that the money/time/energy/days off/travel plans isn't even valid for things anymore?

By any chance was Mr. X referring to Liberace?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

If you have to ask yourself or others whether or not something's good for you, it probably isn't.

It's like DeNiro said in Ronin: “Whenever there is any doubt, there is no doubt. That's the first thing they teach you.”

They pay people to write these taglines?
