Stolichnaya Pertsovka Vodka

Postby Mr. Brian » Fri Apr 11, 2008 10:45 pm

I am looking for some way to buy this particular pepper vodka for a friend. As best as I can tell it is no longer distributed in the US but it is still made. I am having trouble finding out any more info online. Does anyone overseas know any way to get this vodka for me?

I searched "Stoli Pepper"
came up with:

http://www.mikesliquors.com/liquor1.html#vodka

According to my friend there is a difference between Absolut's and Stoli's. I've had the Stoli once when he had a bottle and it had a slight caramel color to it and it was pretty fiery too.

I'm not sure about that site Frank, but I may call them anyway. The only way you can order is by faxing or calling in your credit card and I am still not sure if Stoli Pepper is the same exact thing as Stoli Pertsovka even though it is a pepper vodka (and means pepper in Russian) from Stoli. Pertsovka may be the overseas version whereas Pepper may be the US version.

I tried to e-mail Stoli via the website but the delivery failed.

I e-mailed some Russian restaurant in Maryland that I found while searching to see if they can help me find out.

Hi Brian,
Couldn't find it for sale in Australia, but I did find this great site that explains all the different vodkas..... (have a look at Pertsovka - it might help)

So no takers in Europe or the UK that can send me a bottle of this? I'll pay for it of course. I'm not asking for a freebie.

It seems it's only available from Moskovskaya here.

Try here for hard-to-find vintage liquors. Don't know if they have the particular Stoli you are after, though.

Its hideous stuff - I brought some back from a trip to Kiev years ago and it sat around at the back of the drinks cupboard until I had a cocktail party (fine excuse for getting rid of all those odd bottles of strangely coloured undrinkable liquids). Anyway, after a few cocktails we got onto this stuff - its seemed a good idea at the time - but even then there was only one person who was prepared to try it twice.

So, I still had the bloody bottle in the cupboard...half a bottle any good??

I think the bison grass vodka was even worse though.
