A Guardian reader called him a "preening wankpuffin".

Belgium-Japan, what a match!

Can't believe they came back from 2-0 down thanks to tactical and personnel changes by Bobby brown shoes, the man who lost his job at Goodison due to being too bloody dogmatic, he wouldn't even change his underpants when he was at Everton. Bloody hell.

Yesterday, I understood why Martinez is criticized. He was praised for his substitutes but he set his team out to lose in the first place. Gutted for the Japanese.

This World Cup has had everything, even a Loris Karius tribute act.

The last time both France and Croatia made the semifinals was 1998 . . .

Supporters of the week: the Belgian fan dressed as a bag of chips and the Colombians wearing Carlos Valderrama wigs.

Noticed that there was a Welsh flag among all the tricolores on the Champs-Elysées yesterday. Wonder if that person has been stuck in Paris since the 2016 semi-final.
