So anyways, the other night I was that bloke. Went to see The Who with Mrs FC at the Leeds Arena (quite a good place for a massive shed) and had seats almost at the back of the top tier. Arrived just as they went on having quaffed a certain amount of argentinian malbec (for some reason the origin seems important) in some trendy and expensive bar in the ever increasingly trendy city that is Leeds - picked up a couple of pints on the way up. We were in the middle of a row so had to 'scuse me, scuse me' all the way to our seats and then I turned into S4T in terms of, being the one who gets get up and dances. Well there was me and a coupl fo of women in the row behind in the whole of the top level (more or less, wasn't counting). As you know I have on many an occasion confessed to be a pint-holding-toe-tapping-head-nodding-stand-at-the-back kind of gig goer, but for some reason tuesday was not that night and I was that annoying bloke who keeps getting up and dancing when everyone else was sitting down and politely applauding at the end of each song. At least I didn't berate my fellow gig-goers for being dull. Setlist was advertised - though not singles necessarily & included selections from quadrophenia & tommy and even the whole of the 'a quick one while he's away' song cycle. Top night. One for the fans as it were but, well preaching to the converted here folks.
