The spending of the big Torres money from Chelsea seemed questionable at the time but if you get £70-80m for Suarez (added to the 25pence you got for Carroll) it will look like a shrewd investment.

Showed some guts to come back today, not bad for a team with no strikers. Bloody cold though, but the quality of the soccer warmed up in the second half.
