inbetweeners - american style

So then you american types, anyone seen this yet?

Took me a while to warm to the english version, mainly peurile knob jokes and typically english comedy about not getting any. But there again whats not to like, sswearing, drinking, talking bollocks and not getting any? And I had to agree with one reviewerthat its probably closer to the truth about teenagers than the hyperreal 'Skins'where there's a constant stream of drugs drink and rumpy pumpy.

So is it any good or is it another sitcom that hasn't transferred well.

Doesn't look that bad. Reminds me of Saved by the Bell. Never seen the Inbetweeners UK but don't see what the fuss is about - it's being remade for US audiences and set in a US school, so. Can't give us our shit and have it set in England with English actors. Besides, they'd get confused, having expected the main guys to speak in the Queen's RP, what what, while the chicks would all have bad crooked teeth, according to Ivan and withahip, and that would be a turn-off straight away to American MTV-loving teenies expecting sexy cheerleader whores, and adults who like "watching" teeny comedies for some reason or other. Probably for the sexy cheerleader whores. Mmm...

The thread title was what drew me, the use of the words 'american' and 'style' in close proximity.
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'

well i ignored it for ages but my kids watched it and i was eventually drawn in. Is clunge even a word? That trailer looks OK i suppose it works best if they take the general idea and use their own words, lols - when they did coupling they tried to do a straight translation and it was rubbish, if i remember correctly.
