And just how many men will purchase these?

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

And just how many men will purchase these?

I think that concept is ridiculous. Whatever genius at the company thought it up should be fired immediately.

Handy to burn the fumes off the day after a curry. Gives a whole new meaning to 'candle in the wind'.

Man candles? Personally, they should have been called "mandles".

Seriously though, I didn't realize that candles were "girly" to begin with.

"Mandles" already refers to man sandles. Your proposed usage would therefore cause confusion.

Wouldn't it be spelled differently, though? I think it would be "mandals" for men's sandals. Aurally, however, it's all the same.

Not if you don't know how to spell "sandals", which I don't.

Candles are absolutely girly. A group of women gathering usually has candles. A co-ed group of people might have candles. I have never heard of a group of men with lit candles, at least none that are hetero.

Apparently you haven't been to our weekly Men's Villiers Terrace meetings. While discussing men's issues of the day in the spirit of heterosexual male fellowship we very much enjoy the scent of lit candles.

That reminds me this weeks meeting will be at the Billy residence.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
