Well?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I may have seen one a year or two ago, leaning over my bed in the middle of the night, but I'm not sure. I was really groggy. Freaked me out.

Fresh out of college, I lived in an old, old house and tho I never actually saw a ghost, I felt a presence occasionally. And things would go missing, only to turn up months later in really odd places.

Not a ghost tale, but ...

My baby brother's best friend was killed in a car crash in his early 20s. After the service, my brother was sitting on the curb, crying. He said he suddently felt a comforting presence next to him. He was convinced it was his friend. Same thing happened to one of my best friends after her mom died.

A great book of ghost tales, BTW, "Haunted Heartland."

A friend and I heard a distinct tune being whistled when I was working at a concert hall and no one else was supposed to be in there. We knew that because an audible alarm sounded in the office whenever an exterior door was opened and that didn't happen. Being the skeptic that I am, I guess someone could have been playing a prank, but at the time it freaked us out a bit.

Here comes me with the wet blanket...

Why are ghosts so secretive anyway? It's always dark places and generally vague communication. Believers will say at times that they are tricksters and some have senses of humors while others are mean. That would make me think they have some free will yet all we get are footsteps, whispering, moaning, cold spots, brief apparitions and things like that. Yet, just like UFO's, despite all the people hunting them there has never been a clear film or recording of one.

The total number of people who have lived on Earth is estimated at about 107 billion and the current world population is 7 billion. That means there are about 100 billion "souls" out there. The potential number of ghosts would be in the billions yet reports of ghosts are not something that you hear about everyday. You'd think out of that 100 billion we'd be swimming in them even if they were just massacres, murders or suicides or other violent or weird circumstance deaths.

A bloke I used to work with reckoned his house was haunted by some old miner, he said quite often if he got up for a pee in the middle of the night he'd be stood in a corner of the bathroom (the ghost that is) and if you spoke to him he'd just disappear. Also windows that were closed at night would all be open again in the morning. He said they never felt scared or anything and just got used to having him around but a mate of his refused to go round there after catching a glimpse of it in the living room one time. I think it's all bollocks myself.

You can't bring me down Mr. Admin Cloudy Day.

The theory is that not all ghosts are actually conscious beings. Many of them are recordings of traumatic events which are then replayed by people who are receptive to those kind of things. Then you have interractive spirits which while aware may not be aware they have actually died. The reason they only appear during the evening is that is just the time when they are most visible. We just don't notice them. They're there the whole time and to make themselves manifest it requires them to use energy from surrounding area.

I used to do a lot of "ghost chasing" a couple of years ago and every now and then someone will tell me their friend thinks their house is haunted and ask me to check it out.

I have so many stories but what stands out are trips beneath Pasadena's suicide bridge. That place is active and besides EVP I had someone whisper my name in my ear. I was proud of myself that I did not run but now I know what they mean when they say your blood goes cold. That's exactly what it felt like and I had never been so scared in my life. And I never go there alone anymore.

I don't believe in them, never seen one nor experienced anything. This probably equates too, to why I don't believe in true love, soul mates or love @ first sight. It can all be "proven" wrong by scientific logic & evidence.

I try to "debunk" things as they do on the TV show, Ghost Hunters & Ghost Hunters International, using such logic, evidence, facts and statistics. Call me a bore but, hey, it's what solves things.

I will admit I did go to a few paranormal/parapsychological trips planned in Gettysburg, PA but, sorry, it was all bogus... so much was "de-bunked" there & the "scary" parts weren't even scary at all.

The afterlife though, that's a different story. We each have our own & our beliefs about them so, I'll shut my fat face about that now.

I'm glad I didn't mention I was so upset I watched the Wizard of Oz three times and had a good cry afterwards.

oh, those most haunted and other tv shows....it's obvious a lot of that is so fake. i mean, they stand there and act like all this stuff is going on, and they're witnessing it themselves, (supposedly) yet they turn right around and tell the owner, oh sorry, we can't really say this place is haunted. um....yeah! if you are seeing it (supposedly) then why isn't it real? Image such a laff! they're funny to watch tho, for a laugh!

but that doesn't mean there really isn't any such thing, somewhere!
