That whole video is the reason I own dogs and only dogs.

Cats rule--dogs drool.

I already have a child--I don't need another. I like dogs but will never own one. Cats are more self-sufficient.

I'm neutral on rabbits.

Cats are bitchy, plus I'm highly allergic (to cats and bitchiness). Besides, nothing beats seeing my pug (Grendel, who's 20 lbs) try to hump my mastiff (Brutus, who's 200 lbs).

From this day forward I shall be referring to Black Francis as 'Grendel'.

That is good stuff! I hadn't considered the comedy aspect. My two cats aren't bitchy, but the oldest does like to mew loudly when she wants her way.

My daughter is also highly allergic to dogs.

Cats suck.

I hope we can still be friends.

...and your appellation will likewise become "Big Tits McGee".

Back in the day, with a former Mrs FC (90s lineup) we used to have a cat who when a stranger came in would lie on her back on the floor (the cat, not the former mrs FC - though now I think of it...) as if waiting for her tummy to be tickled - and a very inviting fluffy white tummy it was - and we would say to the person (if we liked them) dont do that, dont be tempted, in fact leave well alone. As soon as your hand was within striking distance all four sets of claws would come out and have your hand off, well a layer of skin anyway. She was quite pleasant apart from that little party trick. Unless you were smallish wildlife who strayed onto her patch of course. And when she died, her co-cat went walkabout and never returned. True story.

Rabbits are a bit boring by comparison but we've had a couple for about 8 years now and one has a skin tumour which is infected, hence the drugs and probably not long for this world. Tried the wrap it up in a towel trick again and this time it was OK - just got to hold on tight and not worry too much about those teeth. I may have even got some medicine in her mouth this time

I am torn between that making the cat a treasure to have around or even more reason to be placed in a bag and over the bridge.

We had a very spunky cat who would hide under beds, and when you walked by would swat your foot. At the same time we owned that cat, his little friend would lick your feet when one was using the facilities.

We did have another who would wake you either by jumping off something high and landing on the bed or if in a less playful mood would tap you on the shoulder whilst purring in your face.

I cannot accurately convey my disappointment at the contents of this thread after reading the title.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
