Where do you live on the East Coast and what do you think?? I live on the outer banks, NC. Kitty Hawk, we are looking at devistation, so funny they are all focusing on the north when usually the weather channel over dramas it down here.

Here in Maryland there is already full-scale panic about the potential Category 0 Storm we may or may not get.

I hope you don't have too much damage!

I used to vacation in Salter Path when I lived on the East Coast. That's part of the Outer Banks, right? Great beaches.

I still have relatives in Cary, Etowah + New Bern, but I'm in L.A. now.

Here is these mountains, we just got some wind. Oh, maybe a little rain.
I hate when a hurricane stalls over an area. I lived in Raleigh NC during Hurricane Fran. Sounded like a ton of freight trains roaring through the night. Woke up the next morning an it looked like a war zone. A tornado, even though it can be devastating, at least will move on. :eek:

I was watching on tv last night...the tidal wave and flooding in New York was unbelievable. Then the snow.

Then I realised my son was watching The Day After Tommorrow.

A former colleague of mine in New Jersey has had no power and no running water since yesterday. Considering that the newscasters were describing the hurricane apocalypse in almost reverential tones on Saturday, reverting to an 1800s lifestyle isn't so bad.
