And All the Pieces Matter -5 Years of Music from The Wire

Finally got my hands on this superlative soundtrack album pulled from all 5 seasons of the greatest TV show ever. Cant believe how good it is.

Including snatches of dialogue (including the classic "the king stay the king" speech from season 1) and four different version of Tom Waits theme tune (Way Down In The Hole) as well as the montage musical pieces that close each season. This is just superb.

Great booklet as well with loads of great stills plus 3 essays on the program including one about how and why the songs are chosen. Really interesting.

Almost makes me want to go clubbing in Baltimore.

Almost.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Which version of Way Down In The Hole is your favorite, Scouser? This season's is sung by Steve Earle. I like it a lot.

I fixed the subject of this thread. The quotes were causing it to be cut off. Carry on.
