This always catches my eye when I come to VT:

Most users ever online was 77 on Tue Sep 23, 2008 2:53 am

What was so special about this date that 77 people were browsing the forum at one time? I tried looking into it and found nothing.

That was when we were planning our VT meetup at the New York Ocean Rain show I believe. Quite possibly the three greatest days ever. I drank the moment I got there till the moment I left saw the best of all the Bunnymen shows I'd been to recently and met up with the coolest fuckers this side of the Atlantic. It really was an amazing time.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

We sobered up just in time to remember the Bunnymen show.

Thank God for jumbo pretzels. Of course we washed them down with more beer so I'm not sure how effective they were.

Did we go to that? I remember being at a dance club telling old people to dance while a murderer in the bathroom stalked me and ran and was served a greasy half eaten cheeseburger in an glass elevator.

Yeah there was that too. And something about the Marriott Marquis losing a star...

I made it to the Beauty Bar but it was packed and you couldn't hear anything, so wound up at another bar somewhere in the Lower East Side called KGB, sampling Polish and Russian vodkas.

Black Francis and Withahip -- do you remember doing that "Fame" dance on cars in Times Square after the show? It was quite something!
