X-Files spinoff, "The Lone Gunmen"

I'm watching the pilot episode of "The Lone Gunmen" - in which Mulder & Scully's sidekicks uncover a plot by the government to stage an act of terrorism - to crash a commercial airliner into the World Trade Center... in order to cause an international panic and increase arms sales.

The episode was written in 2000 and aired in March 2001. Chris Carter must've been freaked out when it really happened 6 months later.

What's even weirder is picturing Osama sitting in his Afghan cave, watching X-files dvds on his portable dvd player, singing "This could be a case for Mulder and Scully", turning to his followers and proclaiming, "doesn't that Cerys bird sound like Joe Pasquale on helium at 78rpm?"
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'

CREEPY!!

John, the bearded guy was one of my favorite side characters. He and his posse were so geeky-cool.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)
