Has anyone seen this fairly recent HBO original series? Here's the description:

Desperate times call for desperate measures and Ray Drecker's situation couldn't be much tougher. The former high school sports legend turned middle-aged high school basketball coach is divorced and struggling to provide for his kids when his already run-down house catches fire. Looking to take on a second job, Ray decides to exploit his best asset in a last-ditch attempt to change his fortunes.

Despite the dark humor involved the series has some very touching and real moments. There's a scene when the main character is sitting in his car in despair wondering where things went wrong and what's going to happen next and it was an especially emotional scene. It reminded me of when our shop was closed on us (did I ever tell you about that one? ) I sat in my driveway wondering the exact same thing. I had a baby under a year old, bills to pay, etc and here I was out of the job I'd been at for about 7 years. Thomas Jane does an amazing job and you really root for him. If you haven't seen it, it's the only original show left on HBO (Flight of the Conchords is gone now) worth watching.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Well the lead character has a huge dick apparently so you weren't too far off.

So that's the real reason you like the show so much.
