John Webster was one of the best there was...

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

John Webster was one of the best there was...

He was the author of two major tragedies...
I found a few quotes as I was poking around that I though were cool.

Whether we fall by ambition, blood or lust,
Like diamonds we are cut with our own dust.

"We think caged birds sing, when indeed they cry"

"Heaven fashioned us of nothing; and we strive to bring ourselves to nothing"

"A Spanish fig for your impudence" (The Duchess Of Malfi; II, iii)
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

I can see that last one being used regularly on this forum in the next few weeks.

I am pretty sure Mac said that he never read these books or anything by John Webster. He just ran across a reference to them somewhere and he came up with that line that doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the song.

Mac says alot of things...could be true. He said something like that he never reads anything since that isn't cool or whatever.
