John Hughes has died of a heart attack. He was 59. He directed movies such as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "The Breakfast Club," "Sixteen Candles," and "Pretty in Pink."

That's a shame about Hughes. What classic 80s movies those were - and great soundtracks!

I just picked up Sixteen Candles at costco right b/f our move. Hughes was an important part of my youth, and like his movies or not, you cannot deny that he had good taste in music (for the time) and understood better than most adults what it was like to grow up in urban/suburban US during the 80s.

In memory of John Hughes I'm gonna google for images of Molly Ringwald topless.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was one of the funniest movies ever. Bueller was a classic.
