The story suggests he killed himself, which is bewildering. I guess it always is.

I guess you never know what demons and burdens that people hide and carry around with them and weigh them down until they snap somehow. It's always sad.

Why does it seem more baffling when a 72-year old commits suicide than when someone in their 20s or 30s does?

Because you figure if they were going to do it, they would have done it along time ago. You figure if they make it to 72 they have decided how they are going to deal with whatever.

It seems more natural to me for an elderly person to take their life.

Life in my 60's and 70's doesn't seem that appealing right now. Not that I'll make it that long but if I did. Blech.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

So when you told me we were going to grow old together, that was just bullshit, right? You are such an asshole.

I meant every word Jack. However it's in God's hands how much time we have together on Earth.

I'm tired of the lies Jack. I just told you that to get a Broadway Special out of you for me and withahip. You were sitting in the middle so I figured why not, he's not doing anything productive at the moment and withahip looked like he needed a pick me up as well.

I used you.

You should go watch "Harold and Maude," bf. I love that movie.

I know this is going to be insensitive, but who cares?
Does David Carradine really have such a special place in people's heart that they were truly anticipating his next movie?

I care more about some very special people on this baord. *tears glisten in left eye* I'd like to take this moment to sing a song - for them . . .and for you:

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you
And if you should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember
Keep smilin', keep shinin',
Knowing you can always count on me
For sure, that's what friends are
for In good times and
bad times I'll be on your side forever
more That's what friends are for

My buddy jammed with him on guitar and said he was an intense, mellow, weird but super cool cat. Some dude was apparently drunk and telling Carradine he was a black belt and that Carradine was full of shit. My friend said he tried to placate the guy until finally he said alright have a go. Ken said the guy came at him with what he thought was an impressive looking Karate move and Carradine took him down with like like one movement then went back to jamming.

Sounds pretty bad ass to me.
