JC Penney Catalog, circa 1977

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

At the tender age of 5, I was too ignorant to realize that my Kindergarten teacher was the spitting image of George Washington.

And isn't that the green version of the jumpsuit from the JCP catalog?

But that is a nice color on her.

On a serious note, these classes are very well integrated for the early 70s. That's something that never happened in my hometown during my school years. Hopefully, it's happened by now.

Not really a question of "integration", just the demographics of the school district.

Ya gotta feel for the kid in the top row, third from right. That bow tie and that jacket. Arghhhhhhhhhhh!

That's the one I picked out. He's also in the top photo, second row from the top on the left end.

The kid with the bow tie looks like Whitey from Leave It To Beaver. That may be before some of you young whippersnappers' time.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were counting Ms. Eason. Yeah, that's me, the short one.

That catalog is hilarious.

My husband had to wear one of those mint green suits as a member of his brother's wedding party in 1978. It was pretty darned funny!

Oh God, do you remember those pastel tuxedo's guys wore to the proms???
Outrageous! Seersucker suits were pretty ugly too. But the whole plaid thing was the pits. Very muskrat love.
