What will YOU be doing on the day of the gigs?

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

Depeche Mode are the freakin' kings (besides Kraftwerk) of electronic rock!

I met them too, in NYC on my b-day in 2005 & I have to say in my most honest view here that, they are simply the coolest. They even took the time to say Happy Birthday to my friend Merva & me (we have the same b-day). That is CLASS... They are non-judgemental too, which is nice.

I think back to all of their works & seriously, to think about how they've progressed & futurized themselves into the kings they are today, just simply amazes me. I LOVE their old style though, you know, Black Celebration, Some Great Reward, A Broken Frame, Construction Time again, Music for the Masses, etc...

It was a total honour (w/out sounding pretentious) to have met them considering, their music literally was the soundtrack to my life (besides some others) growing up.

They are just classy guys doing what they love @ that. Ha, it would be cool to meet a man like one of them but, a girl can dream. Their style is fantastic w/ their imagery they portray.

You were getting slammed for being an ass, er I mean edgy, to some folks excited about seeing the band . . . . not for complaining about how amazingly boring the Bunnymen's recent music has become.

thanks guys... i made them a while back... i just change it up every so often...

i probably shouldn't admit this at risk of being slammed as an obsessive fangirl (which i am), but for my blog, i made a custom bunnymen mood theme, so when i post an entry and select my mood, it is displayed as a bunnymen image. hehe some are better than others.

this is where i get my avatars from, that or other icons from my blog communities.

Seven Seas, the main purpose of these meet ups is to drink before (and after) the gig. Sometimes people are acquainted with others at the meet up, sometimes not. Sometimes people discuss the band, sometimes they don't. But everyone, everytime drinks. If you can drink, you can go.

Does that clarify things?

I didn't drink that much when I attended the Bunnymeets in Philly and New York last year. For me its about meeting fans I have "spoken" with via these forums.
Next meet, I do want to meet people that I have met before and new people, including you Seven Seas. So don't be a stranger. It isn't a clicque.

it's just about having a good time with fellow bunny fans before/after the show. some people have become friends thru the bunnymen, and it's always a good chance to meet them....you know, sorta like having a penpal in school and meeting them one day when you grow up! but seriously, it's just a big bunny party, and we're ALL invited! some of us have met before, and yes, we love to get together whenever we can...others have never met, but it's always fun meeting new people! especially new bunny fans. some of my closest friends are people i've met thru the bunnymen!! :-)

I just have some thoughts b/c of things.

1) How do you all know each other if then, you've never seen people before? Do people just come up & approach? Some people haven't even seen a photo of a person from here so, how would you know who they are? lol Just look for Red

I've seen photos of some people when I was on myspace in the past but, I have deleted my account since September & I don't know many here, that's what I'm trying to say, I guess. Just look for Red

2) I am working on my own personal things right now after my ex-fiancee' dumped my ass. It's hard enough flying back & facing things next week but, the point of it all is to do so & see my favorite band in the world. Period.

3) I'm still highly embarassed & humiliated about the past events which occurred too.

4) If I'm honest, I'm not a big drinker at all. Nor do I smoke & do drugs either. lol

5) Are you people all dancers & just live it up, no matter how fat/thin/stupid you think you might look (but, obviously don't)? Or, do you like to sit at tables, talk, socialize, drink? Some people just aren't partiers... if you know what I mean? Just live it up baby! Assume people will like you and they will.
Thanks!!
