I didn't watch the game. Somebody on the wireless though said they were horrified by Liverpool's defensive tactics. Liverpool a defensive team, since when? You lot really need to get shot of Harry. He said in the post match interview that the team played very well in the second half, they need to play like that for the rest of the season and Hercules needs feeding. He also plugged, cheeky man, his new single "Junk Shop", which will be available tomorrow from all good shops and to download from the Liverpoolfc.tv website.

Defensive tactics are all well and good when you have decent defenders. When they play like the current shower at Liverpool you're fucked.

True though when people talk about defensive tactics, I think of most of the team playing deep with a lone striker up front who every so often might get a long ball hoofed up to if they are lucky. Kind of like watching England play Portugal in the 2006 World Cup I think it was. Just frustrating type of play to see a team penned in its own half and just hoofing the ball up the pitch back to the opposition in desperation. I have no idea how Liverpool are playing now, apart from shit that is, but that's kind of the impression I have in part from hearing post match reports. I'll have to try and catch MOTD2.
