I don't dare take up Starbucks on their free coffee offer. Being in Seattle, there are literally 12 locations within 7 blocks of my apartment (including the very first Starbucks - used to just sell beans). Now Krispy Kreme I could go for. However, it's my understanding you have to have an "I voted" sticker on. I voted absentee. Maybe I should put a postage stamp on my lapel.zabird wrote:Hey, I done did my part. Voted early and often. More free Starbucks coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts that way
How exactly would that be a violation of the constitution? In The Margins wrote:We don't get "I Voted" stickers. That sucks.
I'm puzzled over the voting early concept. (Not absentee voting, that I get.) I asked my father (Florida) Sunday if he was ready to vote today and he said he had already last week. Isn't that a violation of the constitution?

In The Margins wrote:Article Two, Clause Four states: "The Congress may determine the Time of choosing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States."
Congress sets a national Election Day. Currently, Electors are chosen on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November, in the year before the President's term is to expire. The Electors cast their votes on the Monday following the second Wednesday in December of that same year. Thereafter, the votes are opened and counted by the Vice President, as President of the Senate, in a joint session of Congress.
I believe the procedure is clear and straightforward. Therefore, the early voting trend is in violation of the Constitution.
