Dave Smith wrote:DD-the 72 reissue is by far the best sounding guitar I own when played off the bridge pickup. And the neck is lacquered really well as well.No probs with hum at all.But.....................when I bought it I knew it was going for a Bigsy because the Fender bridge was so shite. The guy I use put a Mustang bridge in place not the shitty 'floating' trem like on the Jag I've got.So get yourself a reissue but budget to make it your own.

I knew that he was lying to me about how much of a hum there was. ;)

I tend to play over the bridge and like the sound off that pickup the best. I also thought about going with an Ibanez acoustic/electric with two f holes. Another one is almost a full size acoustic and also has two f holes. If I'm going to be replacing pickups, I might as well go with a custom job, no? Now I know why people have so many guitars...

No-just getting old!I've been through a ton of gear but keep my faves.Oldest one I have kept is from 1989 which is an 'Epiphone by Gibson' Sheraton..or the beast as I call it!For the money its an awesome 'budget' guitar-no bolt on neck with these its all in one.Better quality than some of the Gibson semi's in my opinion.

Some I just bought secondhand just I liked them.Like a silver spangly DeArmond once endorsed by that guitar hero Finlay Quaye!

I think Diva fancies getting a tune out of Smithy's "beast".
Purveyor of the 'semi-predictable one-liner (which) embodies the essence of the type of comedic crap we grew to love here. VB is a crazy fool'

No, I plan to get my own.
However, someone else is bidding on it now too. Was hoping that it would be abandoned like the other one. Don't want to lose it in a bidding war like the red tele. I was hoping it would be all boys looking for a guitar and that no one would want a pink one. Except maybe a guy like Ian...

Like being held against a motherly bosom.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
