Yes. Time will tell whether it is a good or bad thing, just that
history on Wall Street will be changed forever now.

So are you saying that with Democrats in the White House, financial instituions will not make bad loans, or that they won't suffer the consequences of doing so?

Also, Barack Obama is the second biggest recipient of political money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the past 10 years. Even though he has been in office for only four. Number one? Chris Dodd. Number three? John Kerry.

Which is not to say Democrats are responsible for what is happening. By the same token, I think blaming it on a Republican White House is silly. I notice you did not provide any causal link between the two, but just an insuation that would impress only those predisposed to believe such things.

Jack when you pull out the stats it gives me a partial.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

It was quite the day in the financial markets today, exciting yet exhausting.
For those of us in that business, it was a milestone not soon forgotten.

Yes, politicians do that as a matter of course. We aren't politicians, though, are we? At least I'm not.

I'm Adolf Steven Morrissey Hitler - running in 2010 for your local congressional district. I don't know where you live... but I'll find out, and move there. Oh, did I mention I'm also a "hockey mom"?

I do find it funny that I can post about buttholes & boobies, swishers & sasquatch... but as soon as I talk about politics, I'm expected to back up what I say with 'evidence' and show 'integrity'.

No worries, I don't think anybody expects that.

No, I'm saying that the current mortgage scandal and the s&l scandal in the 80's were both a result of Republican-driven deregulation.

I don't believe that to be accurate.
