I bought a bass guitar!

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

Come on Brian... screw "real" instruments.

Get a plastic guitar-looking game controller with colored buttons and a chromed-up fake whammy bar.

All the cool kids are doing it!

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

This struck me as rather amusing.

What day is St. Patrick's Day this year? I'm reading Mar. 14th, U.S. and Apr. 1st, Ireland. What about England?
How do we know which is the right day to consume massive amounts of alcohol?

What happened to March 17? In Boston, we don't care on what day of the week St. Patrick's Day falls, if you get my meaning.

I believe many locales are changing the date to the 14th due to the fact that holy week starts on the 17th. (Easter Sunday falls on March 23rd.)

Well, Cakewalk blows Traktion away. But it is also more expensive unless you get a lite version with a soundcard.

I am just about to purchase similar software and getting my head around it

Do you use it ?

I use Ableton which is just amazing. But I figured this is something new so I thought going cheap - get yourself a Shure 58 mic

Also, I recommend this:

Which software were you thinking about getting? I say stay cheap till you figure out if you want to bother.

I wonder what he'd say about John Doe's bass playing

I love it when the bass is interesting and not just the same ol', same ol'

Mmmmmmmmm Kim Deal.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

haven't decide yet

I was thinking of CueBase

Also I have a Midi keyboard and I am thinking of getting either an SY77 or an Emulator (mainly cos I know these synths and their power) ..

I am puttting a small attic studio together -- recordng mainly vocals and some guitar and Bass -- will use a drum machine for drums for the moment but hope to record jazz sounding drums elsewhere...

Have a PC set aside but anytips on what I need other than softwre, keyboard, driver, and mike

It is always March 17th

However this year in Ireland the festivities are being altered so that they begin on the Friday .. so they don't clash with Holy week ..
but Paddys day is still March 17th

http://www.stpatricksday.ie/cms/mediaro ... ase13.html

This year we still have a national holiday on the Monday ...

I think it is very nice of the catholic church that they are deciding to let us enjoy ourselves a bit .. they need some major brownie points at the moment over here
