Wayne Rooney

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

Okay that's it. I'm going to have to step in here and shut this down. Everyone go back to your homes.

according to the bbc (so it must be true, right?)

However, fierce anti-Rooney banners in the stands during the game, the sinister visit of a gang of hooded members of the Manchester Education Committee group of hardcore fans to his Prestbury mansion, and an ominous death threat scrawled over the facade of a local Nike store had made Rooney think hard about his stance, and the consequences of a mega-money move to arch-rivals Manchester City.

Pictures of the banners, the graffiti on the Nike pictures and the hardcore fans congregating outside Rooney's house are all over the internet, so that did happen but I doubt it played any part in Rooney's decision - for one thing he knew that might happen if he'd cared to look at Sol Campbell after he left Tottenham for Arsenal, and then there was Beckham after the 1998 WC.

Prize idiot, but he got his way. I hope Man Utd fans give him hell - he might have to start proving he is worth his salary, which might be of benefit for Unglerland. What I didn't realise was that Shrek, after all this nonsense, isn't actually the best paid player in the Premiership - that's Man City's Yaya Toure at £210,000 per week. Fuck me, what an easy way to earn money. Football.

Your signature line speaks volume GOGP, indeed to paraphrase, football 'it's strictly not cricket old bean'.
