I thought dissent was patriotic

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

You got the touch!!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

http://littlesis.org/list/35/HCIU_Congr ... _lobbyists

Last month, President Obama nominated Robert Hormats, a top executive with Goldman Sachs, to a high-ranking position in the State Department.

Within days, a number of blogs and news Web sites carried criticism of Hormats’ role in a $3 billion initial public offering for a company with close ties to the Sudanese government.

The Web site that first drew attention to the nominee’s work on behalf of PetroChina?

Wow, I ventured several doors too far down the hallway and strayed into this darkened room. I personally don't like to mix pleasure and politics, especially not with the Bunnymen. EATB are a bright spot in my life that I don't want to associate with the trash that passes for politics in the everyday world. The yelling and the constant bitching by the ignorant, self serving hypocrits that claim to be leaders or wannabe's.

The facade crumbles
No moral majority
White faces screaming

Clueless people yell
Clucking hysterically
Clandestine white fears

Hey, did you see the red noses on both Clinton and Bush at Teddy's memorial service? I bet they got together and knocked a few back before that long, boring affair. At least the morons know when to keep their mouth shut.

I feel the same way wandering into this forum as I did when I was a young kid and opened the bathroom door with my dad standing there holding his dick while wizzing into the bowl. I'm not going to be suprised that way again!

This woman raises a good point. Just like the Rep.s with their death camps, the Dems are totally off base saying Jenkins is laughing at the woman. She, like every Representative at these meetings, has a hard time dealing with such a difficult topic in a hostile environment. In the audience you can hear comments that show some people feel they are paying for others while some feel a society supports one another.

Obama made a BIG mistake trying to shove this through quickly without clearly explaining his plan - if he had one - and making a solid case from day 1. Any health insurance reform will probably stay in limbo as a result.

Looks like someone else is helped by no health care reform . . .

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/life-ins ... id=8757456

After Dr. Eddie Powell lost both his legs to a hospital infection, he desperately needed financial help to support his practice and three children in medical school. So the 61-year-old did what more and more cash-strapped Baby Boomers are doing these days: He sold his life insurance. "For close to a million dollars of insurance, I got a hundred and some thousand dollars," Powell said.

Coventry, a life settlement company, took Powell's policies, bundled them with others and sold them to banks or hedge funds as investments. Since they pay the premium every month, the sooner he dies the more money they will make. And now, Wall Street wants in on the action and the life settlement industry welcomes the potential spike in business.
