The original English for the above was 'You enquired whether France were out or not several hours after the fact. I was suggesting you keep up to speed and watch every night, ESPN allowing, as their may be other games worth watching, not just the ones where Germany are involved.'

See I understand this. I need full sentences to understand the complexities of soccer, er futbol.

I'm American, so you have to realize it takes a lot of effort for me to care about one team in this, let alone the entire thing.

still I am going down to the bookies to bet on either Russia Croatia or Turkey to win the championship- Russia where absolutely first class last night -- they played excellent no nonsense football -- they dug in and got on with it even when they where 2-0 up with 2 minutes to go they still tried to score a goal

Turkey have the will to keep fighting to the end

If Croatia beat Turkey they may go all the way -- the team have a fantastic spirit
