My husband told me last week that the lab at the hospital where he works received a specimen from a woman after she had surgery. The body part was labia minora but the label read "labia menorah". One of the pathologists is Jewish and has a great sense of humor, so my husband assigned him the specimen and wished him a "Happy Hanukkah". That is the same poor bastard who is assigned any and all objects that are removed from patients' rectums after they "sat" on them and needed medical intervention: sweet potatoes around Thanksgiving, for example.

No laws were broken in the telling of this story.* Now, if my husband said, "Our neighbor, Jane Doe, came in and had her labia minora removed." that would be different, and people getting vegetables stuck in their asses is a story that just begs to be told.....and I've done my part by passing it on you my fellow terrace-ers (new word I just made up). what if, an occasional VT-er dropped in for a bit of goss and thought, oo, I've just had a bit of my down belows removed? Just asking.

Actually, I am Jane Doe and was self referencing, so we're good. I just threw in a "our neighbor" to make it more general....you know like a "my friend" comment.

I'd be more concerned if I recognized the "sweet potato in my 'exit only' route" story! You'd be surprised about the objects people, um, sit on and can't remove. Very common, and women have those parts removed all the time for various reasons, but I personally do not know anyone. Again, no names were named. And see what happens when you mention my not being around? This is what you get. :biggrin:
